“I had the opportunity to go offshore with my new rod that you built for me and the verdict is…WOW!  I love it.  The rod performed flawlessly.  I had it bent in half and it felt very stable (20 - Blackfin Tuna and 1 Yellowfin). The craftsmanship is impeccable.  I had many compliments, most importantly from a rod builder.  Clearly the finest stick on the boat.  Of course, I was the only fisherman w/ an 8+ foot rod, not much of these in the Gulf of Mexico.  It was so cool when I was casting 70 yards out and the others were 50 yards max.  They could not believe how far the rod would toss my jig.  Primarily I used surface irons (Tady 45’s and Sumo 7X Lights).  I can’t wait to use it again.  Thank you again for your professionalism and courtesy with the changes I made on the fly. ”
